Mossfinnan Bridge Replacement

Nature of Works :

Replacement of single span masonry arch bridge with a precast reinforced concrete arch system, “FlexiArch”.

Chemcem Services :

Demolition of existing structure
Creation of dry working zone using two sheet pile cofferdams to allow creation of new foundations
Positioning of flexi arch using a 100T crane
Arch was backfilled with mass concrete & topped with a waterproofed structural slab & new surfacing
For aesthetic reasons the structure was clad in natural stone which was selected locally & cut on site, to compliment local surroundings.
